So how are your's going? I' d willing to bet that a lot(if not most) pertain to losing weight, getting in shape etc. me, I like to maintain a healthy muscle to fat ratio throughout the year via resistance(weight training), cardio and most importantly a "clean" diet. Meaning little if any refined white flour/sugar products. The more muscle you build(and the greater your muscle to fat ratio is) the more efficiently your body burns calories. The body has to burn calories just in order to preserve muscle mass where as fat just sits there undisturbed. Sorry to rant but the key to weight loss really is pretty simple when it comes down to it: Burn more calories than you consume! And pls get over the notion that all calories are equal, calories from protein(lean meat like chicken, turkey, fish etc) make the body work harder(burn more calories, hence weight loss) to digest them than do fats and carbohydrates........Eat your fruits(simple carbs) as well as your veggies(complex carbs) and definately get on a regular excercise program and ladies, no! Weight training will NOT make you bulky as women do not have sufficient quantities of testosterone to develop an overly muscular physique. Try and eat at least 5 or 6 well balanced meals a day with adequate protein, carbohydrates and fat, yes FAT!(Contrary to popular opiniom, some fats are good for you, especially monosaturates that are found in avocados, flaxseed oil etc) And pls don't neglect your need for omega 3 fatty acids, eat salmon 2 or 3X a week and you have your as........make that your bases covered
Eating more often keeps your blood sugar levels more stabilized and hence any caloric intake isless likely to be stored and adipose tissue(fat) It realy IS possible to eat more and lose fat at the same time but it's work, either you want it or you don't. This isn't a quick(there IS no magic pill) weight loss strategy but an ongoing life process. You won't believe what you can accomplish until you put this to the test
